Shintaido combines the philosophy of Far Eastern martial arts with the idea of western individual fulfilment. Bojutsu is the Japanese form of rod-fighting. The Bo (a long and heavy wooden rod) amplifies the experienced size and width of the practiced movements, compared to free-handed movements. An attack, Bo against Bo will be experienced in its full power. It has to be mentioned that Shintaido does not aim to defeat an opponent, but to cooperate with a partner.
The beginner course teaches the elemental Bo techniques and partner exercises. Furthermore, you will be introduced into the expressive Shintaido elements.
